NASRPC are pleased to announce that Harbour House Sports Club in Co. Kildare have been selected, and have formally agreed, to host the 2017 NASRPC Irish Open, which will include the 2017 IGRF World Cup.
This will be the first time the IGRF world Cup will be held in Ireland and with Gallery Rifle teams travelling from Britain, Germany, South Africa and Australia, to compete with our own Irish Teams it will, no doubt, be a fantastic event.
As usual, we will also have sporting rifle, benchrest rifle, target pistol and the full range of NASRPC events on offer.
We had proposals from a number of venues to host this years event, indeed with many adding new ranges to their facilities – all of which is extremely good for our sport.
However, in this instance, it was felt that Harbour House, having hosted the NASRPC Irish Open for the last few years, with the range of facilities on site, with many of our International Competitors being familiar with it and its environs and the addition of another target range to their facility, was the best option for the event.
As attendance at the NASRPC Irish Open has grown, year on year, and with even larger increases predicted this year, we have added an additional days competition, with competitive disciplines now being shot on the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th of July.
We also intend to add to the competitive disciplines on offer to provide people with the widest range of possibilities.
We hope all clubs will do their best to support the event, with both competitors and volunteers.
Further details will be published in the New Year.
So, please join us in congratulating Harbour Sports Club as the host venue for the 2017 NASRPC Irish Open and 2017 IGRF World Cup.
