Thanks to everyone who turned out in Hilltop yesterday, especially Paul, Anthony, Martina, Pat, Marion and all the others who helped prepare for the match and ran the ranges all day.

There was a big crowd with a lot of new faces – great to see.

Scores were very good with loads of personal best across all sports.

In particular Open Smallbore Pistol 25m Precision (OSBP25P) where we had a number of people come in to claim they had broken the current record, only for someone else to break it again later.

First up was Courtloughs Tom Courtney who held the crown for a couple of hours with a 284 only for his own Clubmate Mark McCandless to put in a huge score of 288. Mark thought he away with it, until experience won through and Castlebridges Frank Brophy came in with a score of 289 and 13X to leave victorious – in the process taking the Overall aswell as Super Senior Golds

Competition can best be described as fierce in the Precision Matches – great to see it.

There was a large turnout for Benchrest with all disciplines well represented.

Hilltops Dessie Owens took HV (497.024) and IS (493.023),

Hilltops Peter Deaton took LV (496.023),

Fermoys Adrian Forde took FS (481.010) and

Brackens Vincent Glenn took SA (471.014).

Fantastic scores and great to see so many bench cards coming in.
