1500 Matches
The NASRPC can confirm a number of developments for 1500 competitors with an extensive match calendar this year and two extra “1500 Only” national sanctioned matches to be held in Munster (MTSC) on 7th March and Donegal (DTC) on 4th April 2026.
These extra matches will enable all current and future 1500 competitors extra opportunities to compete and have their scores on the 1500 leaderboards (both smallbore and centerfire). Those with the highest scores on the leaderboards have the opportunity to make the Irish Team on the UK leg of the IGRF championship in Bisley this May and possibly gain a place on the team at the IGRF World Championships in Fermoy in July this year.
We hope that this format may encourage other clubs to hold sanctioned 1500 matches across the year and to encourage their members and national competitors to build their experience and skill levels in this discipline. Where a club has not got a 50m range they may request to shoot a 1020 match instead, but please note, there is no team place positions on the leaderboard in relation to the 1020.
We would like to thank both MTSC and DTC for their continued support to the NASRPC and to Irish shooting communities.
Match format below:
1500 1 Day Sanctioned Match
- Each event shall be held over 1 day
- SB and CF gallery rifle 1500 competitions will be shot
- Clubs with a 50m range shall where possible run a SB and CF event
- The NASRPC may facilitate where possible 1500 training after each event
Competition Rules
- 1500 NASRPC/IGRF Gallery rifle rules shall apply
- Events shall operate as a standard NASRPC event, with online registration. Competitor squadding details, standby listing etc
- Each match shall simulate an IGRF International competition. Loud haler/Turning Targets/CRO/ROs scoring/Stats etc
- NASRPC Club Teams may enter to drive standards and performance
- Only valid competition scores shall be uploaded to the National leaderboards
- All competitors MUST act in a supporting role for the shoot (CRO/RO/Stats/Admin) (roles may be set pre-event or on match day). See Caveat 1.
Caveat
- Where a competitor DOES NOT act in a supporting role their scores will NOT be applied to the National leaderboards for 1500 team selection
- If a competitor can provide proof of extenuating circumstances as to why they were unable to act in a supporting role, their scores may stand
- Determination of extenuating circumstances is at the sole discretion of the NASRPC Competition Director / National Development Officer
We would encourage all NASRPC competitors to support these events as each club has gone to considerable effort to support YOU. Car pooling will work well as the matches require minimal equipment and will better facilitate a Club Team entry.
