Could You Become a World Champion?
The IGRF World Championships are coming to Ireland in 2026 and you could become a World Champion!
As part of the 2026 NASRPC Irish Open, the IGRF World Championships will be hosted by Fermoy Rifle & Pistol Club this July, bringing the very best competitors from Ireland and around the world to compete on Irish soil.
Your Chance to Compete for World Championship Titles
There are two ways to take part:
Team World Championships
Ireland will field teams in the Team World Championships. Selection details and qualification criteria will be sent out in a separate email.
Individual World Championships
No qualification is required.
Simply enter and shoot the required events during the Irish Open, and your scores will be automatically combined to determine the World Championship standings.
That means every NASRPC shooter has the opportunity to compete directly against the best shooters in Ireland and from across the globe.
How the Individual World Championships Work
To be eligible, you must shoot these four disciplines during the match:
• Timed & Precision 1
• Multi Target
• 50m Precision
• The 1500
Your scores from all four events are added together, and the highest aggregate score in each category will be crowned World Champion.
Championship Categories
World Championship titles will be awarded in:
• GRSB
• GRCF
• GRCF Classic
• GRCF Open
• GRSB Ladies
• GRCF Ladies
Start Preparing Now!
Never shot a 1500 before? No problem. There is no reason you can’t start practicing now and be standing on the podium as a World Champion.
When registration for the 2026 NASRPC Irish Open opens in the coming days, make sure to enter all four disciplines and take your shot at history.
Ireland Has Done It Before

• 2017 GRSB World Champion — Ray Holohan (IPAPC)
• 2017 GRCF World Champion — Jeff Kehoe (IPAPC)
Jeff Kehoe also went on to win Silver and Bronze medals at the 2019 World Championships in South Africa, whilst Julie Moran (FRPC) brought home Bronze at the 2024 World Championships in Germany.
Why Not You?
The World Championships are coming home. The opportunity is real. And your name could be added to the list of World Champions.
