Well done to Sean, Paul, all the gang in ECSC and all the volunteers for a very well run National.
We again saw a lot of people try their hand at 100m Prone (and do very well) and saw scores entered in all but IS in Benchrest.
Long may it continue.
There were a lot of new faces aswell as a lot of PBs and class promotions.
We saw no less than 4 people being promoted to A class in FSPR50 with ECSCs own Arran Feighery shooting out of C class and straight into A class. ECSC do a lot of work with their members and offer club matches in Prone Rifle, especially FSPR and it, along with home advantage, was clearly visible with ECSC taking 8 of the 10 medals won in FSPR. Hilltops Eugene O’Rourke and Brackens Vincent Glenn taking the other two.
Harbour Houses Julie Moran taking top honours in GRSBTP1 will see her smiling from ear to ear for a while.
ECSCs own Rex Cruz, on his first attempt, shot straight into X class in SBPMT – narrowly missing taking the top spot due to Fermoys Declan Fitzgerald shooting a PB and taking the top step on the podium. Declan was on great form with the pistol – shooting a PB in all the SBP disciplines and OSBP25P.
