Open Day – Hilltop – 16th February 2019
Hilltop will be holding an Open Day on the 16th February 2019.
This is another fantastic opportunity for friends, family, work colleagues, etc. to come and try their hand at target shooting.
We all have had a few people who have said they would love to come and try shooting – well, this is the best way to start them off.
Where & When
Saturday the 16th February
Venue: Hilltop Shooting Club, Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow.
Time: 10:00 am to 16:30 pm.
(We will start a group on the hour – and each group should take roughly two hours)
Entry fee: Rifle & Pistol – €30 / Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun – €50
What will be covered?
Full safety briefing and equipment
One on One instructors
Benchrest Rifle – x 25
Gallery Rifle x 25
Target Pistol x 25
Shotgun (Clay Pigeon) x 20
There will be the facility to “go again” on the day, dependent on availability
There will be people in the shop to discuss membership options with anyone that would like to join the club.
Note: Suitability for target pistol shooting will be decided on a case by case basis on the day. Should someone not be suitable for it, then another go on Benchrest or Gallery Rifle will be provided
Who is this for?
Anyone interested in the great sport of Target Shooting – beginners welcome.
Ladies & Gents more than welcome – everyone competes on an equal footing.
Juniors (14-18) are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
Over that everyone is welcome – age is no barrier to target shooting – we often see teenagers and pensioners on the same line – competing as equals.
What do you need on the day ?
Your current firearms license
-or-
Current photo Id such as a drivers license or passport.
Dress for the weather – you will be outside for most of the event, mostly under cover, so dress warm.
Who is running it?
Hilltop will have experienced shooting instructors & experienced competition shooters, maybe even some members of Team Ireland – current World Cup Holders,to help and guide you through a very enjoyable day.
How do I get on board?
Everyone must register in advance.
It is imperative that we know who is coming, and what experience level they have, to ensure we have sufficient instructors on hand.
