The NASRPC competition calendar continued with an outstanding weekend of shooting at the Munster Target Shooting Club on 9th and 10th May 2026. Competitors travelled from clubs across the country, producing a superb turnout over two full days of competition and creating a friendly, competitive atmosphere throughout. Conditions were warm enough that a few competitors were even spotted in shorts — a rare enough occurrence that some suspected they were trying to reduce drag on the firing line.
Across rifle, pistol, gallery rifle and TSG disciplines, shooters delivered an impressive standard of performance, with numerous personal bests and tightly contested medal positions.
Match results can be found here. Scoring challenges will be accepted until midnight Wednesday, 13th May by emailing competitions@nasrpc.ie
As always, one of the most encouraging aspects of the weekend was the blend of experienced competitors and newer shooters. Personal bests were recorded across a wide range of classifications, reflecting the steady development of shooters throughout the country.
A very special word of thanks goes to Munster Target Shooting Club for hosting such a well-run event. Thanks are due to the range officers, stats office, and other volunteers whose hard work ensured the match ran safely, efficiently and in the best spirit of an NASRPC competition.
With excellent attendance, strong performances and the usual great camaraderie on and off the firing line, the Munster Target Shooting Club May Match was another highly successful and enjoyable fixture on the 2026 NASRPC calendar.
Our next sanctioned matches are DTC for the 1500 only match (23rd May) followed by BRC on 6th & 7th June. Keep an eye on the Events calendar on the website for more competition dates in the future.
